St Margaret’s can offer a beautiful setting for an intimate wedding in the heart of the North Norfolk countryside. Our building is a unique set piece of Georgian Gothic and unlike most churches in the area was designed to look beautiful first and foremost. The south-facing front of the church, with its historic headstones and beautiful wild flower conservation area, is a perfect backdrop for wedding photography.
St Margaret’s also has excellent facilities. The building is fully accessible, including WC, level access and hearing loop. For winter weddings the heating system is also very effective. The church seats a maximum of 100 people, so unlike the other vast medieval churches in the area, your wedding won’t feel lost in the space.
St Margaret’s has kitchen facilities so drinks and canapes can easily be served in the church. Nearby to St Margaret there are several special venues that can host your evening reception.
The rules for getting married in Church of England churches used to be quite restrictive. These have now been relaxed in some cases and it should be possible to arrange for your wedding to take place at St Margaret’s. Please see the C of E website for more information here: http://www.yourchurchwedding.org/ Please do get in touch if you would like to discuss your requirements further.
